All characters are actually human, in fiction. The build information just says what 4e thinks the characters are. Frex, 4e thinks Brother Charles is a Dwarf Paladin, but, of course, he's just a regular monk dude.

Sister Anastasia

A Celtic Christian with the charism of healing. She's petrified of hell and is desperate to gain sufficient merit in the sight of God to avoid damnation. To this end, she's come east from Ireland to act as an itinerant healer. The Saxons know her and fear her. She's joined up (at least temporarily) with the Order, thinking that the destruction of God's enemies will maybe save her soul from his wrath.
